Galentine’s Day – Favourite girl squad

Hello lovelies!

Since Galentine’s Day (February 13th; also known as my birthday) was last week, I thought I would dedicate a post to my favourite female characters and the characters I would love to be friends with! Friendships are an important part of our lives and it is true that friends are your chosen family, it you surround yourself with the good ones.

Without further ado let’s dive into the list of my favourite female characters!

Jude Duarte from The Cruel Prince series

Jude is the first character that popped into my mind. I love her so much. I see a lot of myself in her, especially her ambition. I like how power-driven, passionate and determined she is. I loved reading about her story, the trials she faced and her blossoming love/hate relationship with Cardan. She is wonderful. Also having her cunning mind on our team would benefit our safety.

Lara Jean Song Covey from To All the boys I’ve Loved Before series

I read Lara Jean’s story a few years ago but with the release of the movie, it has reminded me how lovely she is. I love the way she loves, the way she sees the good in others, how quirky and funny she is. Having someone as sweet as her in a girl’s group is a must! Also she would bake the most delicious pastries for our group gatherings so it would be a bonus

Morrigan “Mor” from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series

I love Mor. She is strong, she is resilient and she is sassy and I think I have a crush on her. Thats it, I love her.

Louise “Lou” Le Blanc from Serpent and Dove

Louise’s wit and sarcasm is unmatched. The way she taunts Reid is what I live for. I love how she’s a survivor and how she just wants to live. I love how untamed and wild she is. She makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs and dance in the rain in the middle of the night. I love her.

Daisy Jones from Daisy Jones and the Six

Daisy Jones is the most charismatic character I have ever read about and I am so intrigued by her and her voice. I would sell my first-born to hear her sing Aurora. I love free spirits and I love her vision and I would only want to follow her. I would also give her a big, fat hug because she needs one.

Amy March from Little Women

I know a lot of people prefer Jo, but Amy is my favourite March sister. I love how she loves art and travelling. How realistic she is. She knows her condition as a woman and that she has to marry well; she doesn’t wallow in self-pity, she owns it and works with it. I loved reading about her character development. I like how she is not the most beautiful sister but how she is described as having grace and charm. That is exactly what I am going for. I love how unapologetic she is; she isn’t perfect and I was horrified when she burned Jo’s manuscript but it shows that she is human, flawed and shows us all the ways of being a woman.

Who would you invite for a Galentine’s Day party? Let me know in the comments!
