Blogmas Day #21 – Happy winter solstice and Happy birthday to Feyre Darling

Hello lovelies!

Welcome to Day #21 of blogmas! Christmas is only three days away! So exciting! 🎢 It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…🎢

Happy Winter solstice everyone! We’re in winter, also known as for my favourite season! I can’t wait to feel the cold wind on my face, wear heavy and comfy coats and snuggle in my bed with a cup of hot cocoa. Fate decided that I would be born in winter so I always felt a closeness to the season.

The winter solstice also means that it is Feyre darling’s birthday! Feyre Archeron is one of my all-time favourite characters. She is resilient, strong, loving and clever. I love the way she cares for her loved ones and how she watches out for them. I love how she puts people first but still takes care of herself. She is wonderful and inspiring because she went through traumatic events and still thrived. She deserves all the love and support and I wish her a very happy birthday. You can see Feyre’s magnificence in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series written by the wonderful Sarah J. Maas. I would like to thank the author for writing characters like Feyre who inspire me. My favourite book of the series is A Court of Mist and Fury where you can see Feyre’s growth and maturity.

β€œI was not a pet, not a doll, not an animal.
I was a survivor, and I was strong.
I would not be weak, or helpless again
I would not, could not be broken. Tamed.”

β€œYou are my salvation, Feyre.”

β€œNo one was my masterβ€” but I might be master of everything, if I wished. If I dared.”

β€” Sarah J. Maas

Maas, Excuse me While I ugly Cry by Joya Goffney One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston, Act your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert and Gods and Monster by Shelby Mahurin!

I really like intricate designs as well as art on my covers!

8) Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories? β…β˜ƒ

I know it’s weird since I’m dedicating a whole blogging month to Christmas but I’m not a fan of Christmas in itself, but rather, the feeling, the happiness in the air, the songs, the snow, Christmas lights and Christmas markets..It’s not really about Christmas but more what it represents.

My Favourite Book Quotes!

Hello everyone!

I love books, especially if they’re well-written. They are also punctuated by beautiful quotes sometimes so I thought I’d share some of my favourite quotes.

Book-related quotes:

β€œSometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.”
-John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

β€œI think it’s bullshit that the only meaningful stories are the ones that are deep and pondering and boring, saying all this nonsense without ever saying anything, and you’re supposed to, like, read meaning into the yellow wallpaper or something.” She rolls her eyes. β€œYou know what I think? I think sometimes the stories we need are the ones about taking the hobbits to Isengard and dog-human dudes with space heelies and trashy King Arthurs and gay ice-skating animes and Zuko redemption arcs and space princesses with found families and galaxies far, far away. We need those stories, too. Stories that tell us that we can be bold and brash and make mistakes and still come out better on the other side. Those are the kinds of stories I want to see, and read, and tell. β€˜Look to the stars. Aim. Ignite’—that means something to me, you know?”  – Ashley Poston, The Princess and The Fangirl

β€œThose who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only Beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

Love-related quotes:

β€œIf all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.” – Emily BrontΓ«, Wuthering Heights

β€œMany boys will bring you flowers. But someday you’ll meet a boy who will learn your favorite flower, your favorite song, your favorite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won’t matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart.”  – Leigh Bardugo, Six Of Crows

β€œWhatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same” – Emily BrontΓ«, Wuthering Heights

β€œAnd that’s when I understand that I have been stained. Whether I’m still in love with him, whether he was ever in love with me, and no matter who he’s in love with now, Willem changed my life. He showed me how to get lost, and then I showed myself how to get found.”  – Gayle Forman, Just One Day

β€œBeing vulnerable, letting people in, getting hurt… it’s all part of being in love.”
― Jenny Han, Always and Forever, Lara Jean

β€œHappily ever after, or even just together ever after, is not cheesy,” Wren said. β€œIt’s the noblest, like, the most courageous thing two people can shoot for.”
― Rainbow Rowell, Fangirl

Inspirational quotes:

β€œYou have to try. You have to take your chances. Go and attempt and see what happens. And even if you fail – especially if you fail – come back with your experience and your hard-won knowledge and a story you can tell. And then later you can say, without regret or hesitation… ‘Once, I dared to dare greatly”  – Morgan Matson, The Unexpected Everything
