Hello lovelies!

Happy day #15 of Blogmas! We have a shorter post today.

Here’s my weekly Top 5 Tuesday created by the wonderful Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog and hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads (go check out their blogs; they’re amazing!). I know we shouldn’t judge book by their covers but as a book hoarder, I cannot help but sometimes buy books by their covers…anyone else? I don’t know if these books are the best book covers of 2020 but they are some of my favourites!

How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories – I won’t ever shut up about this beautiful edition – ever.

The Hunter and the Mage. I love the covers of this series and the MC Lyana is soo beautiful! loving the representation!

Children of Virtue and Vengeance– This cover was way better than the book…Well, at least I have something nice to look at.

Blood and Honey – This is one of the most beautiful book covers I’ve ever seen and it compliments the first book in the series perfectly.

The Invisible Life of Addie Larue – When I saw this book cover, I knew i had to have it

What are some of your favourite book covers? Let me know in the comments!

Blogmas Day #8 – Top 5 Tuesday -Top 5 books on my holiday wishlist

Hello lovelies!

Happy day #8 of Blogmas! Sorry for the late and short post today, I was swamped by homework.

Here’s my weekly Top 5 Tuesday created by the wonderful Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog and hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads (go check out their blogs; they’re amazing!). This week’s topic is really fun and it seems like all I’ve been doing lately is making lists for Christmas Here are the five books on my holiday wishlist! At this point the books featured shouldn’t be a surprise, it’s all I’ve been talking about in my later posts.

These books are much talked about in the book community and most of them have been nomintaed in the Goodreads Choice Awards (see my post tomorrow). I al sadly on a book buying ban and hoping a family memeber gifts me at least one of these and as soon as the stars are aligned I’m buying these books first!

I want to read Legendborn because it’s a retelling of the Arthurian myth with POC!!

Cementary Boys has been everywhere and I’m really excited for the plot and I have been meaning to read more books featuring trans characters.

These Violent Delights: I see Shakespeare, I see Asian representation, I want.

From Blood and Ash contains my favourite genre ever: Romance Fantasy. This girl needs nothing more.

Fable: I’m going to be honest and say that this cover deifnitely drew my eyes and one of my favourite auhtors said that it was one of her husband’s fvaourite read this year so I decided I would check it out; I know this is a little weird haha.

Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 characters I would dress up as!

Hello lovelies!

Here’s my weekly Top 5 Tuesday created by the wonderful Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog and hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads (go check out their blogs; they’re amazing!). I am extremely excited for this week’s topic; I love fashion and I love books so this is basically a match made in heaven!

Nehemia Ytger from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Look at the art; need I say more? I loved the description of her hairstyle in the books and I mean, she is a queen. I would love to have a queen’s wardrobe. They could made custom pieces for me.

Jude Duarte from The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Art by wictorianart

Let’s be clear here: I want to be Jude. Any reason to channel her is a good enough reason for me. I love the beautiful gowns she gets to wear and her hair styled in horns is iconic.

Lola Nolan from Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Lola is a costume designer! Of course I would want to dress up as her! Her style is eccentric, daring and colorful; which is not how I usually dress but I would still enjoy dressing up as her. I really like clothes from other eras and Lola mixes them into her own style and i just like how confident she is.

Lara Jean Covey Song from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Edit by Gorly Gorl on Picsart

Lara Jean as the cutest style ever. She’s very preppy and put together and I like all the dresses and pastel colors she wears. I would love to dress up as her! I think the movie did her justice and Lana Condor really made the style work.

Daisy Jones from Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

art by @ritwells (twitter)

Daisy wears men’s button down shirts as dresses, huge and gold bracelets and earrings and is often barefoot. I like how effortless and “cool” her style is. She exudes confidence and dressing up as her would help me channel that. Fake it until you make it right?

Who would you like to dress up as?

TOP 5 TUESDAY – TOP 5 REASONS I RATE A BOOK 5 STARS

Hello Lovelies!

Here’s my weekly Top 5 Tuesday hosted by the wonderful Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog (go check out her blog; it’s amazing!). I am extremely excited for this week’s topic! I never really sat down and thought about what makes me give a book 5 star; I always thought that I just “followed my heart” but I actually managed to find 5 reasons why I rate a book 5 stars.

It has the “feels” aka it pulls at my heartstrings

The “feels” is the only good word that I came up with to how convey how much I love when a book pulls at my heartstrings; a book that is going to break my heart one way or another. I don’t really know how to explain that feeling but there are moments and passages that I read that are too deep, too raw that they affect me physically. And the fact that words have such power, keeps on astonishing me. So when that phenomenon occurs I know that it is a 5 stars book right away. It is almost like pinpointing the moment you start falling in love with someone.

Top 5 “main males” – Top 5 Tuesday Tag

Hello guys! I’m back for a TOP 5 TUESDAY hosted by Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog (go check out her blog, it’s amazing!). Today we’re doing my favourite main male characters. It is quite a hard tag for me because most of the characters I read about are female characters, so most of the characters won’t necessarily be the main character of the book but rather the main male character of the book as in the love interest or the best friend… (which is what this tag is about haha). So here we go! This is not in order of preference.
