Hello Lovelies!
Here’s my weekly Top 5 Tuesday hosted by the wonderful Shannah @Bionic Bookworm Blog (go check out her blog; it’s amazing!). This week will feature (as the title suggets) my Top 5 favourite audiobooks! I am a fan of audiobooks! I love every types of reading. I find audiobooks to be very soothing and such a unique way to discover a book. Sometimes it’s hard to pick up a book and just find time and audiobooks allow me to read a little more…So here are my favourite audiobooks!

Becoming by Michelle Obama
How cool was it that Michelle narrated her own life! It was such an incredible experience listening to her voice for so long (nearly 20 hours!). It felt like a friend was confiding in me and I appreciated her autobiography even more.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This is one of my favorite reads this year!! The cast made the story a thousand times better and the format is absolutely perfect for audiobooks. The story was gripping, moving, surprising and it was much-needed! I highly recommend it.

Eleanor Oliphant is Perfectly Fine by Gail Honeyman
I have absolutely no regret reading this as an audiobook. I actually felt like Eleanor was narrating her own tale and Cathleen McCarron‘s performance was excellent! This book actually broke my heart and I wasn’t really ready for that pain. But it was a beautiful and necessary tale. Read at your own risks!

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Okay. This book is a beast. It is honestly such a long audiobook but the story is so entertaining, funny and unique! And the sex scenes. oh my. I did not expect them to be so raw but it makes the book more believable and honest. And the reader can tell the amount of reserach that went into this book. The descriptions are lenghty but not gratuitous and useless. They take part in the world-building and it’s great.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
A Classic with a modern twist! I actually read P&P as an audiobook for the first time. Mr. Darcy’s letter left me such an impression that I replayed it a dozen times. I love love love it. I cannot recommend the audiobook enough.
What are your favorite audiobooks? Let me know in the comments! 🙂
