Goodreads Monday – July, 27th 2020

Hello lovelies!

I am back with a Goodreads Monday tag! Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme that was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners. The meme is pretty easy to follow, to participate simply choose a random book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it!

Title: Get a Life, Chloe Brown

Author: Talia Hibbert

Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion. The next items?

• Enjoy a drunken night out.
• Ride a motorcycle.
• Go camping.
• Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex.
• Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage.
• And… do something bad.

But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job.Redford ‘Red’ Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle, and more sex appeal than ten-thousand Hollywood heartthrobs. He’s also an artist who paints at night and hides his work in the light of day, which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. Just the teeniest, tiniest bit.

WHY I WANT TO READ IT

I have read amazing reviews of this book and the second one came out this year and I really want to read both! This is exactly the type of cute contemporary romance I enjoy reading and the fact that there is a Black main character doesn’t hurt.

WHY I HAVEN’T READ IT YET

I have too many books on my physical TBR and I vowed that I would not buy more books until I get through all of them. I really want to stick to my word.

Have you read it? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
